It is the commonest type of aesthetic eyelid surgery. In this excessive skin or fat of the eyelid is removed and repositioned to improve the appearance.

Droopy Eyelids & Eyebrows

Laxity or weakness of muscles that lift the upper eyelid is called as droopy eyelids or Ptosis. Droopy eyelids and droopy eyebrows both are corrected by surgeries.

Botox Fillers

Injectable fillers that relax the muscle under a wrinkle, fill the line, crease, or area with one of several different substances. Wrinkle fillers can also be used as “volumizers,” plumping and lifting cheeks, jawlines, and temples; filling out thin lips, and plumping sagging hands. The most widely used is Hyaluronic Acid filler which relaxes subcutaneous skin folds and prolonging the rejuvenating result.

Ectropion/ Entropion

When the lower lid is turned outwards is called Ectropion. When the lower lid is turned inwards is called Entropion. Lid and lashes rub against eye, leading to excessive tearing and general discomfort. Surgery is performed to correct malposition & cosmetic appearance as well.

Blepharospasm

An increased involuntary movement (blinks) is called blepharospasm.

Eyelid/Ocular injuries

Lids and bones of the orbit can get damaged by many injuries including accident (road), sports injury etc. Proper repair of eyelid & orbit restores protective function and cosmetic appearance.

Enucleation

It is the surgery of removal of the eye. Performed for several reasons such as malignant tumors of the eye, Very painful blind eye or in some cases of perforated eye.

Orbital implants & Prosthesis

These are the implants those are used following enucleation surgery. Eye is replaced with Orbital Implant to fill up the empty socket. It also improves the cosmetic appearance.

Defects of Lacrimal system

If there is any blockage or narrowing of the any part of lacrimal system including puncta, canaliculus, nasolacrimal sac, nasolacrimal duct; it leads to excessive watering that interferes with activities of daily activity. There can also be an infection in the lacrimal sac (acute dacryocystitis) as a result of the blocked tear duct which causes red, painful swelling at the corner of the eye. These problems are treated by a procedure called Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). In this a new passage is made between the lacrimal sac and the nose and this bypasses any blockage below the lacrimal sac and allows tears to drain normally again.
